JL8023W-B touch sensing IC is an integrated circuit designed to realize human touch interface. It can replace the mechanical light touch button to achieve waterproof and dustproof, sealed isolation, sturdy and beautiful operation interface. Using this chip can realize touch switch control and brightness adjustment of LED lights. The peripheral circuit required by the solution is simple, and the operation is convenient. Determine the sensitivity and select the capacitor, and the IC can automatically overcome various interferences caused by ambient temperature, humidity, surface debris, etc., and avoid button differences caused by resistance and capacitance errors.

Single Input Single Output Reference Schematic

 Note: When the difference in dielectric material and thickness is large, the touch sensitivity can be adjusted by adjusting the capacitance value of C3 sampling capacitor. The larger the capacitance value, the higher the sensitivity; the smaller the capacitance value, the lower the sensitivity.


Function description

TI touch input corresponds to SO and SO2 light control output. SO2/OPT2 are multiplexed pins for input and output functions, which can be used as dimming output SO2 or as option input OPT2. There are six optional functions, which are determined by the input state of the OPT1/OPT2/OPT3 pins before power-on. details as follows:

 1) OPT1&OPT2&OPT3 suspended or connected to power supply: no brightness memory, no brightness buffer, single output LED touch stepless dimming

 2) OPT1 & OPT2 are suspended or connected to power supply, OPT3 is grounded: with brightness memory without brightness buffer single output LED touch stepless dimming

 3) OPT1&OPT3 are suspended or connected to the power supply, OPT2 is connected to the resistance to the ground: no brightness memory, no brightness buffer, dual output LED touch stepless dimming

 4) OPT1 is suspended or connected to the power supply, OPT2 is connected to the resistance to ground, OPT3 is grounded: with brightness memory without brightness buffer dual output LED touch stepless dimming

5) OPT1 & OPT2 are grounded, OPT3 is left floating or connected to power supply: LED three-segment touch dimming, the sequence is low->medium->high->off

 6) OPT1, OPT2, OPT3 are all grounded: LED three-segment touch dimming, the sequence is high->medium->low->off


Without brightness memory, without brightness buffer, single output LED touch stepless dimming functions are as follows:

TI touch input corresponds to SO1 LED output. When initially powered on, the light is off. When the touch is clicked (the touch duration is less than 550ms), the on-off control of the light can be realized. Click and touch once, the light is on; click and touch again, the light is off. so cycle. There is no brightness buffer when the lights are on or off. And the initial brightness of the light point is fixed to the highest brightness.


When you press and hold the touch for a long time (the touch duration is greater than 550ms), the stepless brightness adjustment of the light can be realized. A long press and touch, the light brightness gradually increases, when released, the light brightness stops at the brightness corresponding to the release moment, if the long press time exceeds 3 seconds, the light brightness will not change after reaching the maximum brightness; long press the touch again, The brightness of the light gradually decreases. When you release it, the brightness of the light stops at the brightness corresponding to the moment of release. If you press and hold for more than 3 seconds, the brightness of the light will not change after reaching the minimum brightness. so cycle. Click to touch and long-press to touch can be used at any time without interference and limitation of each other's functions.


The single output LED touch stepless dimming function with brightness memory and no brightness buffer is based on the single output LED touch stepless dimming function without brightness memory and no brightness buffer, and the brightness memory function is added. That is to say, in the case of uninterrupted power supply, the brightness of each click and touch to turn off the light will be memorized, and this brightness will be used as the initial brightness when the next click and touch to turn on the light. In the case of power failure, the first click and touch to turn on the light after re-powering on, the initial brightness is fixed at the highest brightness.


Without brightness memory and without brightness buffer, the dual output LED touch stepless dimming function expands the output from one LED to two LEDs on the basis of the single output LED touch stepless dimming function without brightness memory and no brightness buffer. Touch input corresponds to two LED outputs of SO1 and SO2. At initial power-on, both lights are off. The first time you click and touch, the first street light (SO1 output driver) is on; the second time you click and touch, the first street light is off, and the second street light (SO2 output driver) is on; the third time you click and touch, both street lights are off.


When a street light is on, long press the touch to perform stepless dimming of the light's brightness. The adjustment method is the same as above. When the two street lights are not on, long press the touch will first light up the first street light, and then stepless dimming of this street light. The dual-output LED touch stepless dimming function with brightness memory and no brightness buffer is based on the dual-output LED touch stepless dimming function without brightness memory and no brightness buffer, and the brightness memory function is added. That is to say, in the case of no power failure, the brightness before each touch to turn off the light or switch to another street light will be stored in memory, and the next time you touch to turn on the light or switch to this street light, the LED will be lit with the memorized brightness. In the event of a power failure, the brightness is fixed at the highest brightness when the light is turned on for the first time after the power is turned on again or when it is switched to this street light for the first time.


LED three-stage touch dimming function

When initially powered on, the light is off. Each time you click and touch, depending on the OPTION selection, the brightness of the light changes cyclically according to [Low Brightness->Medium Brightness->High Brightness->Off], or press [High Brightness->Medium Brightness->Low Brightness->Off] in sequence cyclic change.
